Activity - Interviewing For A Youtube Video LO5

I originally had the idea to recreate another instrumental, but this time I wanted to add more variety and make the video similar to a series called Deconstructed by Genius. For their videos, they talk directly with the producer and ask them to break down the instrumental, so I decided to do that. I knew a producer of a song that went platinum, so I asked if I could interview him and he agreed. I have done interviews for NPR News and I have done other ones, so I am somewhat familiar with how to conduct a good interview. I asked him to walk me through the process of creating the sample (that's what he did), while I recreated the drums to show how it was made. My recreation ended up being very accurate, and the video was much better than I thought it would be. One of my Achilles heels is editing videos, but I was proud of how it turned out. If it weren't for his help, the video would not have been as interesting and genuine as it was. Seeing the real process behind the sample, and having a real interview elevated the video and I know it will be one of my better performing videos!
