Creativity - Recreating Another Instrumental That Is Rock Music LO1

     Creating music in a different genre is extremely difficult when you don't know what sounds, instruments, or tools to use. Even more difficult is trying to recreate a Rock, Hip-Hop infused song instrumental, but I have decided to do just that. I fell in love with a song called "My Ex's Best Friend", and wanted to recreate the instrumental. It was beneficial and helped me grow in two ways. First, it worked on my guitar playing skills, as the song revolves around a simple three-chord progression that is playable for a beginner like me! It also good for my general musical abilities because I am learning how an entirely different genre of music is made! I have never listened to or created rock-influenced songs, but it has its own techniques that I can try to incorporate into my hip-hop creations to get a more unique sound, which is extremely exciting, and will help me grow as a guitar player, and musician!
