Creative - Playing The Piano LO1

    On my birthday, instead of relaxing, I chose to try to further develop my piano skills. Specifically, I wanted to improve my improvisation skills. It's very difficult to improvise on the piano because you are quite literally pulling notes out from your head and translating them onto the keyboard with little time to think. I have always struggled to improvise, but it is an imperative skill to have if I want to further my skills as a musician. After spending hours working on my improv by further exploring scales, practicing with passing tones, and getting myself to use extended chords, I could definitely see improvement. Learning this skill and further improving on it will allow me to be more creative when I make music, and it's a skillset that few beatmakers have!
