Creativity - Remaking an Instrumental LO1

     Although I would consider myself a skilled beatmaker, recreating instrumentals is an entirely different skillset that I have begun to work on. There is a song called "The Light", which has an instrumental I really love, so I decided to recreate the beat and post it on Youtube to show my process. I don't expect videos such as these to get as many views as my free samples, but they do have more longevity than them, so I should get more consistent views over time. The reason I believe recreating is much different than making is the fact that recreation requires an extremely careful ear. On top of getting every single note right, you have to find or create the exact sounds to make it sound sonically similar to the real song. Your goal is to use your ear to decipher everything as accurately as you can to reconstruct a beat. From this, you can learn tricks, or techniques the producer used to make the instrumental, and you can incorporate them in future creations!
