Creativity - Learning The Acoustic Guitar LO2

I have always wanted to learn to play the acoustic guitar, but I have never picked it up and played for more than a few minutes. My dad owns a guitar, but I was always hesitant to play because of how difficult I knew it would be. However, one day I began playing it, and instead of learning chords or doing it the right way, I decided that I wanted to play a song. So I sat down for 2 to 3 hours trying to learn a simple song. It's probably not the best idea to begin playing an instrument and jumping straight into playing songs, especially ones that aren't extremely easy. The song I learned consisted of just 4 chords, but I had to also play it fingerstyle because I hate used a pick; they feel hard to use. After a few hours, I was finally able to play the song, and I'd felt few things more satisfying in the past year. It felt so great to be able to play a song that I had been enjoying, and it makes me want to get my own guitar. I think I will buy an electric guitar sometime in the near future, but we'll see!
