Service - NHS Service LO6

I participated in a group service project where we went and helped elderly people with chores inside and outside of their homes. For the first of the two houses, we went and raked up leaves and did general maintenance of her yard. She was unable to help due to her multiple injuries and age so she watched us and guided us as we worked. For the second house, we went and helped her empty out her fridge and clean her kitchen. It doesn't sound like much work, but even with our whole group of around 10-12 people, we weren't able to fully finish. Helping those who are unable to do their chores is extremely important and helpful to those individuals. It's an issue that thousands, if not millions, of elders have to face so I'm very glad that I was able to help out!
