Activity - Flag Football LO2
For the past two weeks, I have been practicing with my school's Flag Football team. We have had 8 practices within that time span, and I have already seen improvement not only in my mechanical abilities, but also my stamina. For the majority of the summer, I hadn't been working on cardio except for when I played basketball. This made it difficult to get back into the flow of Football but due to us conditioning every practice, I'm getting back into form.
To go along with this, I hadn't played football since the end of last year's season. Although it wasn't extremely difficult to get my mechanical skills such as catching and footwork back to usual, there were some issues. I dropped a few balls during the first two or three practices but since then I haven't dropped one. I've been actively practicing my general strength at home by doing push-ups and sit-ups as well as working on footwork drills. Footwork is an essential part of football so I'm trying to perfect my technique so that I am ready for my first game on September 25th. I have a long way to go, but I'm confident that I can return and even surpass the level I was at last year very quickly.
